My personal public transport
Bike-sharing ideally complements private and public means of transportation on short distances. It unburdens the traffic in the city centres and improves the attractiveness of public transportation. Over the past few years, bike-sharing has become increasingly popular all around the globe.
In Switzerland, it is PubliBike that represents this mobile, urban and sustainable service. Since 2009, PubliBike has been offering a number of bike-sharing networks throughout Switzerland and is continuously expanding the programme.
In these networks, you can borrow our new bikes and e-bikes.
Since the 30th of November 2017 with 30 stations and 80 bicycles as well as 180 e-bikes.
Since the 6th of December 2017 with 12 stations and a total of 42 bicycles and 42 e-bikes.
The modernization of the network has been postponed to 2018.
From spring 2018 with 150 stations and 1,000 bicycles and 1,000 e-bikes (final expansion).
Since 15 December 2017, there have been three test stations in the city of Zurich. The three stations are located at Werdmühleplatz, Beatenplatz at the Civil Engineering Office of the City of Zurich and Westpark an der Pfingstweidstrasse, near the headquarters of the PostBus Region Zurich. The 12 bicycles and 12 e-bikes are available primarily to employees of the City of Zurich and PostBus for testing purposes. If you have a PubliBike subscription, you can test the bikes.
From spring 2018 with around 200 stations and 1,200 bicycles as well as 1,200 e-bikes (final expansion).
