How Tap&Go Works

Find a bike

Stations with bikes and e-bikes can be found in the SBB Mobile App, on our map, or directly in the PubliBike Velospot App.

SwissPass opens the lock

With the SwissPass you can unlock all our bikes or e-bikes directly, without prior login or registration.

Billing

Billing is done automatically via the payment method stored in your SBB user account.

Start riding across Switzerland no matter what bike or e-bike you have

With the latest bike or e-bike from PubliBike Velospot, simply hold your SwissPass at the center of the handlebar. The lock opens automatically. To lock it, just do the same again.

To unlock the bike lock, activate it using the on/off button and hold your SwissPass against the lock. It will open automatically. To lock it, press the on/off button and pull down the red lever on the right until it clicks into place. The same type of lock is used, for example, in Bern.

First ride: 30 minutes free

The first 30 minutes of your first Tap&Go ride are free. It doesn’t matter whether you rent a bike or an e-bike.
