At the « Your Bike at the Station » stations in Brugg-Windisch, Delémont, Grenchen, Herrliberg-Feldmeilen, Meilen, and Solothurn, you can rent bikes and e-bikes cheaply for up to 18 hours. Return is at the same stations. Important: Activate a pass before departure or use the promo code SBBFREE.

  • Entering the promo code automatically activates the 6h pass and gives you CHF 5 travel credit.
  • The credit is enough for the first e-bike ride or two bike rides.
  • The promo code is valid only at « Your Bike at the Station » stations.
  • Enter the promo code: In the app under Subscriptions & Passes → Enter promo code, then activate the tariff.
  • Users with a BusinessBike tariff currently cannot use the promo code.
  • Afterwards, you can also activate a 12h or 18h pass.

More information
  • If the rental time is exceeded, CHF 5 is charged for each started hour. Maximum CHF 24 for bikes and CHF 48 for e-bikes.
  • Maximum rental time is 24 hours.
  • For e-bikes, 2 hours of ride time are included. After that, each additional minute costs CHF 0.20. Ride time is counted while the lock is open. Bikes have no ride time limit.
  • Returns outside a « Your Bike at the Station » station: CHF 20 surcharge.
  • The pass is valid for 1 year, no automatic renewal, can be changed at any time.

Bike Station at the Train Station

The station is your starting point: Here you can take a bike or e-bike and use it for several hours. In the end, return it to the station. What you do during the 6 h, 12 h, or 18 h is entirely up to you.

How does renting work?

Rent

In the app, you can see all available bikes, e-bikes, and all active stations.

  • In the app, tap on Rent.
  • Press the on/off button on the bike lock.
  • The bike number appears in the app and you can unlock it.

Take a break

  • Press the on/off button on the bike lock.
  • Pull the lever on the right side of the lock down and hold it briefly until the lock closes.

End your ride

Ride to any active PubliBike Velospot station visible on the map to return your bike or e-bike.

  • Press the on/off button on the bike lock.
  • Pull the lever on the right side of the lock down and hold it briefly until the lock closes.

Tip: If you don’t hear two beeps when closing or the lever doesn’t lock, lift the lever and press it down more slowly. After about 30 seconds, the lock confirms the end of your ride.

Bikes and e-bikes can also be unlocked without registering in the app using your SwissPass – simply with Tap&Go at the B-Quick rate.


Grenchen

The station can be found at the bicycle parking area. Two BLS stations are located in Grenchen Nord.

Windisch/ Brugg

Two stations at the station for renting and returning bikes and e-bikes.

Solothurn

Northern station exit, close to Mobility Carsharing.

Delémont

In front of the P+Rail at the station.

Meilen

Two stations: one at the southern exit and one at the northern exit.

Herrliberg Feldmeilen

Lakeside, directly at the SBB bike parking.


Other locations

In addition to the SBB locations, there are also stations operated by BLS and MBC.
